Stanford GSB on YouTube

First launched in 2008, the Stanford GSB YouTube Channel features more than 1,200 video lectures from GSB professors on today’s most pressing management challenges, as well as View From the Top CEO guest lectures, and presentations from the world’s leading entrepreneurs.

As of end-2012, these 1,200 video lectures had been viewed more than 4 million times.  Hunter Walk, then-head of product management at YouTube and a Stanford MBA, played a key role in welcoming Stanford to the YouTube Community.

The Stanford GSB YouTube Channel can be accessed here.

Through links to the sister YouTube Channels of Stanford University (here), Stanford Law School (here), Stanford Medical School (here), Hoover Institution (here) and the Stanford ECorner (here), an additional 3,200 videos are available that have been viewed, as of end-2012, almost 54 million times.

The  Stanford YouTube Channels, which began by featuring Oprah Winfrey’s 2008 Commencement Speech, build on Stanford’s long commitment to widening access to its content for the Stanford Community and greater general public, and feature videos of uploaded classes, faculty interviews, panel discussions, and seminars, among others.

In 2005, Stanford was the first university to launch a collection of audio and video content in Apple's iTunes U here.  Stanford's YouTube and iTunes sites are sponsored by the Office of University Communications.
